Did you have the PCM flashed to your vehicle VIN? That's what
the Predator keys on for licensing. At least, that's how my old
one did it.

most likely locked pcm... invalid key means it's an invalid seed key... the key to unlock the pcm... it's not a standard gm key....

looks like you're SOL....

When I got my Predator and was fixing to start bothering
the PCM, first thing I did was get a spare PCM. I has the
dealership do an in-car reflash to stock / match VIN. It
cost me half an hour of shop rates. I had mated the
Predator to the original PCM and the replacement worked
fine. Maybe you need to do this, maybe the place that
sent the PCM just missed something that happens
"naturally" when you use the TechII at the dealership.

Of course if you wanted some non-stock-ness that is
in the new PCM that'd be flushed. But id it's stock for
stock then give this a try (if the vehicle can make it
to the dealer with the PCM in it, and this is only an
access problem).

We have a Tech II and a bench harness that could be of service if you would like.

I would be curious to know if the predator remembered the seed, so it knew what key to use to unlock the pcm. It would be a smart way around people changing vin numbers to unlock the predator.

I would contact diablo and see what they say

I had to have a service department friend help me out on that one.

I think it's because when you get a stock PCM, at least from the dealership, it's a blanked one cued for a base tune to that particular VIN. For instance, I have a generic manual transmission silverado pcm (stock generic PCM), but it was loaded with a base c5z tune because of VIN via their fancy equipment. PITA to tune? You betcha... and I'm still dealing with computer issues.

I hope your troubles aren't like mine.
