Vinci / Crane Powermax Settings - 04 Corvette
I'm a newbie here but wanted some expert opinions from the LS1 tuner community.
I have a 2004 A4 Corvette Coupe with the Magnaflow catback and a dual cone K&N intake. I used my Crane Cams Powermax tuner to make these adjustments.
> Cooling Fan Temp = 190 Deg
> Fuel Enrichment = +5%
> Spark Advance = +5 Deg
> Hi-Performance Cam Setting on stock cam
> Enhanced Transmission Shifting = +300 rpm
> Transmission Firmness = Max
My corvette runs like a different beast now. Feels like much more power than before and no noticable engine knocking. There were probably modest gains at best but most definitely butt-dyno noticable.
My question to the Vinci / Crane Powermax users:
Are my settings pretty sissy or should I be more aggressive with the settings?
What recommended settings should I be using for a stock LS1?
I do not have access to a wideband to check my AF ratio so I'm hoping for experienced guidance.
Thanks,
Steve

I use the tune for perf cam #1. I have made the car breathe better than stock even though it hs the stock cam. According to Vinci that tune is a little more aggressive and works with stock cam. He was correct.

Based on the goodies you have on your WS6, it must really flat out go.
Thanks Brother,
Steve

I have tried most of the cam tunes, #1 is best for me. I tried timing +10 but got KR, sometimes I use +10% on power enrichment instead of 5%, not really much difference at full throttle but part throttle burst knock is less.

You're awesome!!! Thanks for the information. I acknowledge that I assume all risks when it comes to tuning my car and use information gathered here as reference only.

I have this tuner as well. It came with the car... the guy has it set on high performance stock cam and no timing advance with a -15 power enrichment??? this didnt make sense, I am going to try the cam # 1 tune, should I do a +5 or +10 enrichment?

Dude some expert advice, I had that piece of junk a few years ago. I set everything back to stock and go get an HP tuner tune. I gained 20 rwhp with just the tune on a dynojet dyno. Seriously. Also crane went out of business a few yrs ago. You are just wasting your time with it.
