I assume you are lowering rpm as well as mph for shift points?

Friend of mine had an LT1 that would shift late. It didnt matter where I set it. It would just not shift at wot. Eventually floated the valves and bent a valve.

My set up can handle many more rpm's than I am asking of it. I am trying to figure out why it has this delay but the shift feels quick . The mph is an enabler..right? As long as it meets the set mph, it will shift based on the rpm its set at.? "I think?" BTW The log shows the "current gear " changes at 5800 as commanded so I quess it just takes that long to shift.

How long do most of you have your 2 to 3 shift times set at? Mine is at .400 now.

Reduce both WOT upshift MPH and WOT upshift RPM, and slowly increase one until you get it shifting where you want.

Also make sure the WOT downshift MPH is below the WOT upshift MPH.

Thanks for the replies.

My mph is met and my current gear shows changed on the scanner. I think it is just taking that long to shift? Where does the delay come from? Is it torque management?

Sometimes the trans will just not react as quickly as it should. Or clutches could be slipping on apply.

What are your desired shift times set to?

Zero out the normal table. That should help some.
