SD or Closed Loop-MAF tune????? and why?

I think you should try to make it work with the MAF, with a
solid speed density fit-up below it. If the MAF is bugging
then you can call it a loss but if it works then it works.
Not a bad thing if you live in a place where outside temp
swings a hundred degrees season to season. The temp
dimension is one thing that seems to bug speed density
only guys.

I run SD, but only because I still have the 2-bar setup from the previous FI combo. For a naturally aspirated motor, MAF is more friendly for a street car.
Just a note - You can adjust paramets for IAT vs ECT to minimize fueling shifts due to outside temperature changes (like from summer to winter). The PCM stock program heavily favors IAT's. By equalizing it to ECT's it mitigates temp probs that people fault SD tunes for....so don't let that solely sway your decision.

No one is talking about open loop, but unless you had a particular reason to get rid of the O2s why would you. It's not a big deal to retune the car everyonce in a while, but why do it if you don't have to. And technically you can tune the O2 sensors to run lean and get even better gas mileage.
CLSD > OLMAF without specific reason.

My car is in closed loop, and my fuel trims are the same in any weather...and for those saying the 2000 OS doesn't allow this correction properly...mine's a 2000 .
