I worked with this car and the knock is false. I believe it is coming from the pulley or driveline imbalance.

I recently dynoed my car and the graph fluctuates a lot. I was told this is a common symptop of knock retard. I am going to be getting Autotap next month but I would like to start trouble shooting the problem sooner.

Can piston slap cause knock? My car has piston slap pretty bad, or atleast i think its piston slap.

So, did the catch can help any?

My knock retard is fixed!!! At least I hope it is. Went to the track today with 0 KR. It appears that after the header install, I didnt click 2 of my plug wires back on to the coil packs TWICE. Go figure! Two of them clicked again and it magically went away.

The catch can is working great but I still have knock. I was playing with it a little this weekend and the knock is more servere under load as oppose to reving it up in park or neutral. I don't know if that will help narrow the problem? I still have not tried the pulley do to time restraints and not having my own garage, but I am hoping that it is the problem.

Thanks guys

Found it!! It was my transmission fill tube banging against the Intake manifold. When the new trans was installed the fill tube was not lined up with the notch cut out in the hood. So when the hood was closed(driving on the street) it pushed the fill tube against the Manifold and produced Knock, but when the hood is up (on the dyno) it is not pushed against the manifold and does not knock.
