you could just flash your car with a VIN of one without tc. That would just eliminate it all..

I feel your pain.

I too have a 98 wiht the tCS disabled. I don't know how its disabled but it also disabled the ABS. All I know is my dash looks like a damn christmas tree with all the "TCS disabled", "ABS", and "Check engine soon" lights on becuase of my 2nd O2's not being there.

I tried to have someone troubleshoot the ABS at least and they said thier scanner couldn't even connect to the modulel, so now im really confused! Its like the brainboxes have been removed. I could check but have not a clue where they are located in the car. The only one I know where is the one for the engine, no others.

need help in CO.

That has to be the most single piece of bad advice for tuning I've ever hear!

Go ahead and do that, and see what happens.

pulling the tcs fuse will not disable abs. i had it this way for over a year and the abs was fine.

Wouldn't that cause a problem when going through diagnostics in some states?

No probs with drivability at all, just the christmas lights every day on the dash. Ive thought about getting into it an pulling the bulbs out, that is if they are bulbs. If they are LEDs, then not sure how to disable them.

I was kind of hoping if they are bulbs that they would burn out here soon being on all the damn time, but they havn't yet.

One shop said I needed to find the brainboxes and make sure they were stil connected to the ecu, because as we were driving they weren't even picking up speed from the wheel sensors. So, not only could they not connect to the tcs/abs brainbox, they weren't getting any inputs from it, only TPS and RPMs from the engine ECU was registering.

98 you can disable the lights without pulling the leds. 99+ you have to pull the leds.

info please. Very interested. I don't need TCS or ABS, but hate looking at those lights everytime I drive my car!

Just remove the bulbs. It takes 30 minutes to take that cluster out/in.
