Default High and Low Octane Tables EXPLAINED!!!

Great explanation from the Boys Down Under (EFILive) - the LS1/6 usage of the High and Low Octane tables...They're BLENDED!!! See here...Octane Tables

Thanks, saved some of us a lot of . I've been trying to figure out where it comes up with some of the Timing #'s in a data log that aren't in the tables.

This should be a sticky for awhile. Now I'm off to re-do my timing tables

great info!

i asked this over at ls1tuning.com also

what if both tables are 20 at the same spot, will it always be 20 degrees then?

and

what if you set the low octane number higher then the high octane table?

just seeing if they tested this aswell

Thats a nice explaination.I've been setting low octain tables the same as high octain,so never caught the difference.

What i plan to do after reading that little tidbit is whatever value i scale the h octane tables by the low octane tables will get scaled by that much as well
