Default BS3 No rpm/spark

Im doing something a little different. I put a bs3 on a supra. Im using johns crank trigger and a msd cam sensor which is on the timing gear. My coils have power. Checked wiring everything seems good. Battery was a little low so i have been letting it charge. Motor cranks fine so i figured everything should be good to go. I currently have the COP at 350 which should be enough to fire the car but i get nothing on the rpm screen nor anything on the tack.

Any help would be appriciated

Jake

John told me to use this sensor. its a 3 wire meg sensor. hal effect i believe. The crank is a 3 wire 22 or 4 tooth sensor(its the one john designed.

can you explain BAL? the sensor has a light on it so when the motor rolls past it light goes off at TDC

I set the Crank trigger up so 30 degrees before tdc a tooth is lined up. however a tooth lines up every 20 or 30 degrees. In the configurations do i need to let the bs3 know what wheel im using? i would think this is important?

3 wire
Meg is pressed into the cam gear and picked up at TDC.

There is also a wire that John added to the box but never said what to do with it. its labeled DL triger? I will have to try him again tomorrow and see what it is unless someone here might know

the old style 24 tooth was a 3 wire-the wheel had square cutouts instead of the rounded cutouts

gotcha...

did you do the measurement to verify the cam sensor drops from 12V to 0V near TDC at the BS3 connector?

That is the Datalogger trigger wire. Unrelated to your problem.

Figured out the problem. When i was cranking my switch 12V was going dead. For what reason i dont know. I now get rpm and spark. I will just have to locate a good switch 12v and the car should be ready
