cheap ebay performance chips?

Has anyone tried the cheap performance chips (25$) on ebay that promise 20% horsepower increases? Do they actually help?

People have, they are a joke (on the PCM) and you
would be better off fixing the hot air problem than
lying about it.

^^^ Im with this guy. The only car I've ever seen with one it didn't even really help and it ran like comlpete **** in the winter.

Just for future reference...those are not computer chips, or anything to do with performance.

They are 25 cent resistor that you put in your intake tube that fools the computer into thinking it's always getting cold air regardless of what the actual incoming air temperature is. That tricks it then to always run max timing thus supposedly gaining you power.
