Stock tune what to expect
where are you in the southeast, I highly recommend getting a dyno tune or at least a in person tune.
i always shy away from mail order tunes, however there are some skilled people up here that can get you VERY close on a mail order.
do you have tuning software to give them feedback?

I am an hour and a half south of Atlanta Ga and I do not have any tuning software or skills.
This is why I was wandering about the mail order.
The closest place I would consider dyno tune is Vengeance Racing but it is 2 or more hours drive and I really do not want to drive it that far for a tune when it is stock low mile car.

i payed $150 for a dyno tune on sale. really a tune isn't "worth it" on a stock car unless you have no plans of modding, in which case you should just wait til you're done. paying to have it done now just to have it redone in 3 months seems silly.
for an automatic though, getting rid of torque management and upping shift pressures a bit is kinda nice. being a 98 though your torque management isn't robbing you of all that much. they upped it for 2000+'s

you'll gain some, but your not going to gain a great deal of RWHP. the car will feel much more fun as you adjust the shift points and firmness, TQ management system not to reduce torque, and adjust your IAT for less KR when it gets hot and fan activation after you install a lower thermostat.
