lq9 silverado tuner looking for a suggestion on a cheap tuner for a 2006 ss silverado lq9. customer really wants it to eliminate the speed limiter on the truck. i told him they will increase the power a little in some cases so would like one with like a 93 octane tune or something. i'm looking for a cheaper one because the deal is he's gonna trade me a muncie m21 if i hook him up with a tuner so i'm looking for a good price. any suggestions guys?

it will eliminate the speed limiter, plus he'll gain about 20 hp/tq with the tune...
you can also data log with it, and you can also adjust all of the following parameters with it as well:
Timing Table 2000-4000rpm (+15/- 20%)
#
Timing Table 4000-7000rpm (+15/- 20%)
#
Fuel Table 2000-4000rpm (+/- 20%)
#
Fuel Table 4000-7000rpm (+/- 20%)
#
Idle (+ 500rpm / -300rpm)

modding is a big can of worms. Once you open it, it doesn't stop.
My personal recommendation is to have him purchase tuning software himself. Being able to monitor your vehicle at all times is priceless. And the tuning things to gain power are quite simple, increase the timing, optimize the AFR, etc. Also can remove TQ management, abuse modes, optimize shift points, etc.

its his play toy he usually sports around in an 86 oldsmobile. he's an old hotrodder though, his other toy is a 56 chevy nomad with a 427 dual quad eddy setup, super t-10, ladder bar and back halved with a cage. he left the shop the other day in it and i know lie think i heard him let off half to 3/4 of a mile down the road. that bein said he probably won't do much more to the 'rado he already has a magnaflow exhaust on it.

We can turn around the pcm in less than 24hrs from the time it is recieved. I would imagine UPS ground is 2-3 days if that from Jacksonville, Florida where we are at. which is exactly why the handheld predator is a better choice... plus having the ability to adjust all of those previously mentioned parameters himself in the future... or even to easily get custom tunes created via email...
