what jimmy said. you cant do one without the other. you can get edit but without a scannning tool theres no way to no what to edit. and with a scanning too you can log data but theres no way of changing it. well you can with efi w/ the bi-directional controls but the changes arent perminent.
figure about 800-1k+ for a whole tuning setup; atap/efi, edit, and laptop if you dont already have one.

AT (and the LS1/LS6 specific) EFILive are tools that READ the engine. EFILive can make TEMPORARY overrides while connected, but the PCM returns to OEM upon disconnect.
