Exclamation New Parts Installed need help!

Before the install I had a cam only 99 ss ran perfect. I decided to put heads, fast 90/ and a 90mm TB with 42lbs Injectors on at the same time. Now, i have hp tuners and have a tune that i thought would have been close to the setup i have. I uploaded it. and tryed to start the car, It started and idled for about 1-2 secs at 2500rpm then imeadiatly spiked to about 5500 and i shut it off. I also have had it just shut off on me right after it started ran for about 2 secs. Im not sure if this is mechanical or the tune, I tried my old tune to see if it would run and it does the same thing. Any ideas???

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Check everything related to the head/intake install for leaks. A vacuum leak will cause the engine to spike to a higher RPM, even 5500 RPM if the leak is large enough. Make sure the cam sensor behind the intake didn't get unplugged during the swap, as well.

Did you use the button bolts for the valley cover that came with the FAST intake, if not that might be how it got cracked, this can be fixed as well that why it's not a total loss.

yeah, it seems like when i only put my questions on 1 thread i get about 1 answer. I like more than 1 opinion. This way works.

Do you have the button bolts for it? How bad is the crack(s) is it just a crack or is there missing peices? What you can do isget yourself some epoxy and cover the cracks with that.
