Default Lose MAP readings when convert to SD tune.

BlownBlueZ06 has been working w/ me on this one and we are both stumped.

I recently converted my car over to a SD tune. I followed the demo video and did an entire re-write to the car.

Here is the problem. When I put the SD tune into the car the MAP goes dead. It shows 105 kPa, key on, not running. When I crank the motor it stays at 105 kPA and will not move. The car will not start like this.

So I can give it alittle throttle just to get it to start running, it runs rough and will die as soon as I let off. The MAP does not move even when the motor is running.

Just as a sanity check I put he MAF tune back into the car. The MAP will read 100 kPA, and as soon as you crank it the car fires right up and then the MAP reads 42 kPa.

Do you have any idea why my MAP does not function when I put the SD tune in?

I did this w/ both the 2 Bar MAP and the 1 Bar MAP. Both will read 42-42kPa when the car is running w/ the MAF tune installed. Then both will read 105 kPa w/ the SD tune installed.

After a long night on the computer w/ TXZ0603, we may have gotten somewhere.

I never added the 2 Bar PID into my data logger. So once I had that in, I deleted the standard 1 bar PID, and a few other things (STFT, LTFT) ext. just to get me started.

NOW when I crank the car and get it to fire and run for a few seconds, the 2 Bar MAP is reading 202.83 kPa. So the computer is seeing the sensor.

So I have a feeling I am back to start and my orginal thinking that the 2 Bar MAP sensor I bought is screwed up.

I found a post that I believe is goin to fix my problem.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagn...0kpa-idle.html

The key things from teh post are:

''the 12580698 is NOT an BW EC1636 even though they look the same, EC1636 is in fact a one bar'

I bought a BW EC1636 from AutoZone. This is probally why the stock MAP and the BW read exactlly the same w/ the MAF tune, and why it won't run at all w/ the SD tune.

Zturd has the GM 12580698 for me and I will be trying it out tonight & let you know how it works out.

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.

Ok guys here is why I freaked out alittle. There is no way of telling the difference between the BW EC1613 & the GM 12580698

The left is the GM, middle is BW, right is stocker

I slapped the GM one in & BAMMM!!! she fired right up. Now I can start dialin' everything in.
