Default efilive cables and edit cables?

Is the same cable used for ls1 edit and efilive? I was wondering becuase if buy edit and the cable is the same I can get efilive for 190 bucks.

Its just a generic casing made by Pac-Tec.. they do a lot of casing stuff.. very popular stuff.

Beware, I have heard of a few people actually frying PCM's trying to use the EFILive/Atap cable with LS1Edit.
Realistically it shouldn't work at all due to the many technical differences between the 2 adaptors, but I am just going on what I have heard....

I know EFI Live has tuning capabilities now. I dont know how it compares to edit though.

really? which version allows tuning? has it come out yet?

yup, the bi-directional controls allow you to edit things temporarily, with what you can do in v5 and the new stuff in v6 its quite nice

i thought something had come out that i wasn't aware of.
bi-directional controls are NOT tuning...you can do ckp learn,balance test,idle speed, and turn on/off certain components.
