Default Tunning ?

hey guys have a 96 z with a .612 cam in it and it always seems to die after i get on it and then come to a stop it was tuned but not sure the shop did the best job. I know its a big cam but can a show retune it and adjust it so it doesnt die like this at idle?

Perhaps more info, such as what engine, trans, etc, would get you some help??

I would take and put it on a dyno and have it tuned. You could buy tunercat software for LT1, and learn to fine tune it yourself.

Tunercat is for OBDI cars and his 96 is the first year of OBDII.

It takes a decent amount of tuning work to teach decent street manners to a big cam. There are a bunch of maps that need some attention

Are you running bigger injectors?

205 cc intake port
milling, cleaning and assembly
flow about 275/190 CFM

6 speed trans

Go back to the place that tuned it and see what they will do. Most places will work with you to get it right. Not many have required software to do the 96-97 LT1.
