Default hp tuners

Just ordered mine today any advice for me this will be the first car i tune on,I plan on reading as much as possible. When tune out my torque management anything i should avoid...

just check out the hptuners forum... plenty of people to help out.... and make sure you DO EXPLORE all the parameters in ur tune once you load it up..... knowing where everything is will be a big benefit.

Greg's DVD is ok, but not needed for the beginner.

I wouldn't eliminate TM, you can retain some degree of trans
protection and make it not bug you. Limiting how much spark
it can pull out, is all you need to do (though getting shifts
done faster, also makes the TM less noticeable).

The last thing your wimp tranny needs is a daily ***-whuppin'.

Well i am going to be getting a performa built lvl 2 tranny soon and a ss4000 stall and thanks jimmy that's what i'm looking for. I know there is trial and error but im just looking for anything not to do. My goals are installing lt headers, ory and dealing with tm until i read up on tuning for air/fuel, Also i wanna get a wb but didnt have the money for one atm, maybe a few weeks ill get one any kind recommended.. thanks again guys for all the responses keep em coming..
