Default LTFT problems

Hey guys
Iv been doing a few logruns and for some reason at idle my LTFT B1 is +25% and the STFT seems to stay up there pretty high to. I have a small exhaust leak at the collector. could this be my root problem?

What mods do you have.Have you had tuned before, and if so was it tuned on the street or dyno?

I had a stock bottom end H/C/I combo that was street tuned. and then i swopped to a 402ci with a 242 252 dur@50 and 610lift on a 113+3..11.5.1 compression-4400stall-ford 9in with 4.11 gears. after the install i had a tuner from the this forum start to tune it and the deal went south and he never finished it, so i bought HP Tuner and have been trying to sort it out. All He tuned after the swop was sitting in the driveway for about and hour..I have went in and played with the idle to get it to idle at about 900..still hunts a little, but it was at 1100 and surged bad. i also went in and changed the gears and tire size as it was wrong aswell and turned the fans to come on at 185ish..i dont even know were to start with the fuel and timing table's

I would bet that your fuel trims are way off since your VE table has not been tuned in. And if you are using a MAF that is way off as well. Sounds like you need a complete tune.

Do you have a wideband? If not, get one. With those mods you can't tune it any other way.

With the combo you are running there really is no basics. A bolt on car is what you should practice on. I just don't want to see you hurt anything. DO NOT go WOT. Greg's DVD is ok but a wideband should have come first.

Absolutely get a wideband. If you get the Pro data logger with HPtuners, it will accept the analog input from the wideband, and you can log it all into a HPT scan. That's the best thing for tuning. For your B1 B2 sensors, when I see that one is reading different from the other, I replace both of them, or do a leakdown test to see if you have a bad cylinder. They always vary a little bit, but if you are seeing +20 LTFT on one, and 0 on the other, there is no way to tune out of that, something is wrong with a sensor or a cyl..

Bank1 and Bank2 will read considerable differences when the fueling is not properly tuned.Considering his MAF table is stock, and his VE table is not even close, his PE rpm is not correct, and a few other things are off as well, he really needs to get the car re-tuned using a wideband to get his fueling issues correct first and then go from there. If the problem is still there, then start looking into the motor, but the tune needs to be corrected first.

Hunter, there is always some variation between the O2s. Can his tune be so bad that one sensor will read way different from the other? I'm thinking he has a bad sensor, but with his exhaust leak, all bets are off.
