Default What besides TPS voltage would make a tranny short-shift?

I finally got back to the track this year after a few years off, and no matter what I did in the WOT shift MPH/RPM tables, the car would shift early on the 1-2, way early on the 2-3, and early on the 3-4 (while locking the TCC at the shift).
The car has a vendor built 4L65E, and a TCI 3800 stall converter.
I commanded the shifts at 6600 rpms, but the car was shifting at 5000.
No matter where I set the shift MPH, it would still shift at 5000 rpms.
Every thing I found searching was mentioning the TPS voltage triggering a "limp-home" mode. So I checked. 4.28-4.33V at 100% throttle.
Is there anything else in the PCM that could override shift tables and not throw a code? This has been haunting this car since 2006, and I'm fed up with it. I wanna race!
I'm going to start building a 4L80E for the car, and use a TCI trans controller when I finish. I wonder if I should wire the controller to my current trans and see if it's a PCM issue, or if the tranny could be it.
Before I go through all that trouble though, does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing it? Anything would be helpful at this point

The TPS voltage seems low. Log the Trans Shift Mode PID and see if it says Normal Shift WOT in the scanner.

You can also try to zero out the mph table so it shifts at rpm only. That will elimanate a transmission related problem.

That voltage seems like it might be below the WOT TPS%
that the PCM keys on, to use the WOT tables. Is the TPS%
recorded in the scan tool 95% or better at WOT?

On the runs I logged before my PCM fried, I was getting 92-96% for the duration of the 1/4 mile. I don't think I ever see a true 100%. I haven't logged anything new since I got the new PCM installed last wendsday.
I'll try to make a run and log the TPS voltage.
Why do they have to make it such a pain lol
I'm within range of the lower and upper fault thresholds, and reading >90% TPS...
What would be the fix for this if it's not reading high enough? Without overshooting the 4.75V rule anyway.

The LT's had what was called the "Stall Wall" but I never heard of it on an LS, I guess you could try the same method and see if it works...
