Ya I heard the repinning thing was ridiculous... I have read several ways to delete vats but everyone has something negative to say about each way... Atleast wat i have found on here... Wats the best/easiest way to delete it... Mine is messing up bad.

What exactly do you think he needs to repin? This isn't a 98 he's doing.
Why would he have to delete the VATS? The F-bodies use a PWM Vats signal and don't match VIN's like some of the other vehicles, that use the serial Vats.
2000 and 2002 use the same basic pin outs, even though they are differant PCM's, but the 2002 isn't going to support the EGR function.

Just did a forum search, the powers-that-be say you should be fine.
I thought I remember bumping into a problem doing this, but I haven't done it for years without just writing a different OS to the PCM. My recollection is that you can swap 99 with 00 with no issue and 01 with 02 with no issue.
Apparently I don't have a clue.

So did you research the Vats and pinouts, while you were at it?

The best way to fix the vats is to put the resister across the wires for the switch. If you turn it off in the PCM, you still will not get the crank relay, which is controlled by the BCM to engage. If you put the resister across the wires and still let the contacts hooked up for the key, you can then remove the resister pellet from the key and only a key without a pellet will work, that way if somebody tries a key with any pellet, it will not start

I talked to my buddy n he said his car was a 2000... should have asked before hand.. so with that being said.. i shouldnt have a problem with it?
IDK what my vats problem is... my car will start most of the time.. my security light is almost on.. but there are times when i try and start my car and it wont allow it.. i iwll have to wait for around 3-5 minutes and the start it and it will fire right up... I just dont know which method i should use...
