vats question Ok so i just bought this car...it had a push button start and the security light was flashing. So i jumped the starter relay and now it will start with the but the light was still flashing.
i took out the gauge cluster and removed the bulb...now it doesnt start? Does the BCM not let it start without a bulb check?
oh it turns over just wont fire up.

just deleting vats from the car is one thing . the car has a body computer that can not be updated .
vats will throw a security light and lock you out of turning it on for 4 minutes .
the key if you got one has 1 of 13 gm resistance codes .
if you got the key measure the resistance and look at the 13 chart , spend $3 and be good vats is orange tube from ignition under kick panel .
