Trans Tuning
Here's why I ask. I've got the idea that I don't want lockup at all in 3rd, or if I do, I don't ever want it until 40MPH. The only reason I'd want it in 3rd, is to help with mileage. I also don't want OD until 55 MPH. I also don't like to see it go into lockup at the same time as it shifts into 3rd or OD. The RPM drop is too great and does not make for smooth operation. Are these ideas reasonable?

OD lockup vs TPS to where it "felt right" across the range.
And lockup follows upshift pretty much, 2 MPH later.
The part throttle shift tables are where you'll find a lot of
drivability / around-town performance improvement.
This zip file is an Excel sheet for settings I liked, at the time.
Only changes since were for gears & new converter.
