Stock total timing
I know it depends on many factors like coolant temp, intake air temp, mass air flow etc. But I figured people would have a pretty idea what a stock LS1 map will give you for timing. For reference I have the stock stat and was running around 90 degrees C for coolant temp, and intake air temp was about 20C (have a cold air duct and lid, only mods on car currently)
I ask because I had my friends snap-on MODIS hooked up today and I was viewing the raw data while messing around with my car. I noticed at WOT I'm only getting around 24-27 degrees total timing in the upper RPM range. Having many cars both N/A and turbo, this sounds incredibly low. Typical N/A motors i've tweaked like around 32-37 depending on the combination. Is the stock timing map really that conservative or are the LS1 combustion chambers that good (to not need more timing)?
I should note that I had minimal if any KR while reading this data, occasionally I would see 2-3 degrees, but timing only dropped to like 23 when I did.
I would think that the efficiency of the LSx engine would be the reason for the low timing required.

im not running the stock computer, so i didnt have a good starting point when making the timing table. i think my timimg was to high, i had an older gearhead helping and he probably thought it should be like a sbc.
