Default Stock total timing

Pretty simple question, been searching for over 30 minutes now and cannot find anything. What should I be seeing for total timing at WOT in the 4-5.5k RPM range? This is for a stock 2000 z28 M6, stock maps completely un-modified.

I know it depends on many factors like coolant temp, intake air temp, mass air flow etc. But I figured people would have a pretty idea what a stock LS1 map will give you for timing. For reference I have the stock stat and was running around 90 degrees C for coolant temp, and intake air temp was about 20C (have a cold air duct and lid, only mods on car currently)

I ask because I had my friends snap-on MODIS hooked up today and I was viewing the raw data while messing around with my car. I noticed at WOT I'm only getting around 24-27 degrees total timing in the upper RPM range. Having many cars both N/A and turbo, this sounds incredibly low. Typical N/A motors i've tweaked like around 32-37 depending on the combination. Is the stock timing map really that conservative or are the LS1 combustion chambers that good (to not need more timing)?

I should note that I had minimal if any KR while reading this data, occasionally I would see 2-3 degrees, but timing only dropped to like 23 when I did.

That's normal; it's not a small block chevy! That's also one of the more aggressive-years timing-wise.

Most seem to run best in the 26-28* range from what I've read. Obviously mods change it in different ways.
I would think that the efficiency of the LSx engine would be the reason for the low timing required.

where should the timing be when idling~ 800-1000?
im not running the stock computer, so i didnt have a good starting point when making the timing table. i think my timimg was to high, i had an older gearhead helping and he probably thought it should be like a sbc.

I have H/C etc., and I have mine around 23*. You can run a little less timing with stock cam, or a little more if you you need the torque to keep a good idle with a larger cam
