Swaping ECM ??'s
Swaping ECM ??'s OK I have a 98 car and have located another 98 car PCM to go in, I think the one in the car may have been bad.
I am using HP tuners.
my car is an STS turbo car, stock heads cam, etc. 60 pound injectors, 2 bar map sensor.
so i just to test and make sure that is the problem, Hook up the computer to the car. write "tune only"? to the ecu for the 60 pound injectors,
will that work, or will i need to swap back in the single par MAP? its a PITA to get back there.
i need to change the VIN on the tune correct? and then relink the vats?
just trying to find out exactly what to do so i don't screw something up my car has been dead for months and it's driving me nuts!
I tried a search but just ended up reading a lot and finding nothing out.
