Serious help regarding LS1EDIT/PREDITOR????

Serious help regarding LS1EDIT/PREDITOR???? If I were to have my car tuned with EDIT but then needed to make changes to my shift points and didnt have the EDIT readily avalible to me,Could I use my old predetor to make the shift point changes at the track?
I could then store or erase whatever shift points I put in until I found the perfect shift points?I could also set my part throttle shifts via rpm so the car wouldnt shift too quickly with a big verter and make it alittle tighter driving around town.
I already have the predator so I dont have to buy it or I'd just get Edit but if I have it I figure why not use it just for trans functions?
Will this cause any errors in my programming or edit tune if I do this?
Like I said I just want to play with tranny shift points and shift timing to tighten the part throttle shifts,thats it....

why couldn't you do it? would it not just add or subtract from the current settings? and if you are going to get EDIT, why not wait a little longer for the HPTuners setup? it scans too and is $50 less.
I don't believe Predator does any checking for non-stock
programming. In fact they specifically warn against applying
the Predator tune over non-stock programming because
"bad stuff might happen".
I believe the Predator does not do a full PCM program rewrite
and what it does push, might make a formerly-good tune
maybe a little lopsided (two tuning attempts that do not
recognize the other, go bump in the night).
I recommend that you get in touch with James (or whoever
your vendor is) and describe to them what you want to do.
I expect this involves at least getting the custom tunes
interface program and getting the Predator's copy of your
stock tune offloaded (for safe keeping), maybe getting the
Predator to then read the present programming (Edit) settings
somehow (it did it once, it could do it again) and cough those
up the line and/or into the "Install Performance" tune, as its
base and then you could dick around spark/PE/shift from the
Edit base.
But it's all way outside the stock pocket calculator's ability
all on its own.
Call your vendor and ask for the service, and see what
they're made of.

I dont wanna mess with the fuel and timing part of my edit,all I want to be able to do is set shift points based on rpm and wot shifts based on rpm,THATS IT...

Why don't you just save your "Edited" tune to the predator and send that to James and have him send it back to you thru email. Then you can save this "tune" as your original factory tune and then tweak you're trans.

Well I finally got the answer from a real tech at diablo sport......
U CANT DO IT!!!!!
It will erase the edit or fubar the pcm.....

must be something with their software/hardware setup.
