She only starts when she "wants"
I've had my car in to the shop twice now for service. The last time they finally reconfigured the entire computer system. This seemed to work perfectly for a few days. Now it seems atleast once per day the car will simply crank over and crank over until she fires. Today she actually left me stranded at the local dmv for about an hour before I got her to finally fire. Any ideas on what this could be? It seems to be getting worse and I've got a feeling that it wont be too long before it wont start at all.

First 2 things to check for not starting is fuel and spark. Did the shop check all of the usual ignition stuff (plugs, wires, coils, grounds, battery and alternator cables)? What about fuel filter and fuel pressure?

Yes the shop claims to have checked all of those things. I am taking the car back to the shop (3rd time in a month) today and they will be giving me a loaner while they go through the car to try and fix things again. One way or another this is the last time I'm taking it back, it dosnt start after I get it back this time they will just have to keep the damn thing and give me my money back.

If they figure it out can you PLEASE PM what they found. I am having the same problem.
My car has been tempramental lately. I put in a new pump and FPR thinking it was on the fuel side. She ran for awhile but left me stranded yesterday. I have a fuel gauge and the pressure is fine so that only leaves ignition.
Don't think a dealer is going to know more than I do other than having diagnostics tools available so I would like to leave that as a last resort. As soon as I get a chance I am going to check the plugs etc and make sure the coils are getting power.
Hope you get it figured out.

Well it turns out it was the ignition relay.
I swapped out the ignition relay with the starter relay when I got home and as I hooked in the ignition I could hear the selonoid click. I tried to crank the car but she wouldn't turn over.
BINGO!!!
So I swapped them back again and bypassed the ignition relay.
She fired right up. I'll be going to the dealership tommorow to purchase the relay.
Thanks BluLS1Z28
