Give them a couple of weeks, it took a year and a half for Carputing to get the 01 software ready for my car. Look at EFI Live's scanner/programmer package thats coming out too.

We will be coming out VERY shortly..

We will also be supporting quite a few vehicles right off the bat. Most 99-04 vehicles cars/trucks are supported already.

We know the delay is brutal but it is beyond our control. We are doing what we can and do appologize for the wait. We do thank you for your patience.

Just a little teaser though, we continue to tweak our setup through the delay... and just recently we tweaked both our read/write times to points we don't think anyone will be able to match for quite some time. They are rock solid stable too!

Ok, another question or two...
Does this mean that there are no problems using the under-dash connector on '03+ model trucks? Do you require pulling fuses?
Thanks.

Initially we had to pull fuses to get things to work. We fixed the problem and have been ok since.

So far we have had no problem programming vehicles with just about every device you could think of talking on the bus, including on star. No problems at all.

98 owners will not be left out. We will be getting to them after we have support for all the 99+ vehicles. It won't take too long. We plan to support the Y-body back to 97 as well.

We feel that tunershops will want these odd ball years just to have a complete package. If we leave those years out, the package will be incomplete for tuner shops.

I rather take issue with vendors considering a 98 to be an odd-ball year.
This was the first year the F-Body had an LS1 and the Corvette had it in 1997.

odd ball year? 98's are really plentiful, just unsupported. LS1edit came out with the 98 stuff late and so will you guys. Shouldn't you release the whole f-body line from 98-02 at the same time? I know the 98's require more work with the programming but **** don't let us hang for another 2 months. I really want to get your product but I hate how 98's are treated like a red headed step child to the other years. LS1edit, predator and now your set up?
Well said Mike keep hope alive for our 98's.

I didn't mean for it to sound like we are treating the 98's like any less of an important year. As you know, the 98 is a very unique year and thus requires some special attention. Because of this we started with the bulk support first and then move to the more "special" years like the 98's and even 97's.

This is something we will get to. We will not be passing these years over.

Is a wideband 02 sensor required for proper tuning?

I have to say, 97 and 98 are odd ball years. Sorry, thats just the way it happened. I have a odd-ball 93 LT1.

Thats the reason why my second LT1 was a 94, and I did not buy a 97-98 Corvette.

O.K. I am happy now we 98's are "special" you other guys are not I know all about the 98 curse and I will wait for your set up to come out, your message board will be worth the price of admission when learning the ins and outs of tuning. Just get to work on the 98's a little quicker PLEASE

66Impala, Yeah I know what you mean, I had a 93 Z28 and wanted to go s/c'ed but the blower folks said I would have problems with the tuning being SD and not MAF controlled, so I just threw a 125hp wet shot on it and was happy until the 98 LS1's came out No more first year cars for me

To get accurate A/F at WOT you need a wideband. You can get it close using the O2 readings.

Thanks Bill. I think I will just buy HPTuners instead of paying someone else to tune it. I can charge other 99 cars/trucks from my area for use too.
