Wink

But you a cheeseburger it is a bad roller lifter. We had a 2006 5.3L truck that set miss-fire code from idle to 1100 rpm. What we found was the roller wheel was pitted horribly from lack of oil flow at low rpm.

I thought the samething, so I moved the lifters from cylinder 6 to cylinder 2 and the misfire stayed on cylinder 6. I also moved the pushrods and rocker arms to cylinder 2 and the misfire stayed on cylinder 6.

Check the intake runner on the head and make sure there aren't any cracks on that cylinder...

Removed the new custom grind cam from comp cams and replaced it with a factory cam and the missfire went away. Lucky speed is in the process of sending it back for inspection and replacement.

I have the same problem you do except mine is not firing on 3 and 5. I have posted on this site with no reply. Have talked to experts around here even the guys in ark at street and performance. They just tell me to check stuff I have already done .

If I understand it right, If two cylinder that are side by side are missing then the most likey cause is a bad head gasket that is sharing compression from one cylinder to another or a bad lifter.
