Peculiar Truck MAF - or normal?
I got a truck MAF off eBay for my ghetto flow
bench project. Doing a little bench testing, I
found that its dead-air output frequency is over
3000Hz. The MAF tables for these guys extend
down to 1500Hz. So I'd think that it ought to be
there (or below) with no airflow.
The MAF looks and even smells new... anybody with
a 5.3L truck and a frequency-counting DMM that
can tell me what you see out of yours, key on /
engine not running?
I was planning to use this MAF as my flow measurement
reference but that may be a bit questionable, now.
Or at least, there is a pretty substantial low end error.
