Default Which wideband?

I am looking at purchasing a wideband and am wondering what everyone suggests? I want something with a gauge in the car and also able to data log with it! I have never bought one so i am new to them and would like some insight on them. Thanks!

Why dont you try Innovate? They have great widebands that have a data logging feature.

I have a friend that has an SR20DET 240SX w/ AEM wideband, and a friend that has the same motor with an Innovate wideband. The Innovate is much quicker on the reading and looks 100X better too.

I've been tuning for quite a few years now and i've run into more issues with Innovate widebands than any other. It seems as though they need to be re-calibrated quite often as well. For my money I like PLX widebands, great products, great accuracy, and no BS. I'm running a PLX M300 tuner edition currently.

I have also had decent luck with the AEM Uego, very simple and the price is very good.

What kind of issues have you had with the innovaite besides the calibration of them? Also have you used any of the other PLX widebands?

I've had the Innovate gauges just stop working on me twice in cars i've been tuning and also read very whacky AFR's... installed my PLX and it read completely normal.

I have had I think the older basic PLX M100 unit, a normal M300, and now the M300 TE I have now.

With the innovate you have to change the sample rate to avoid erratic readings. My only complaint with my LM1 was the serial connection. My LM2 has had issues with a "heater error" issue we are trying to iron out. My LC-1 has functioned for years with zero issues, but again the serial connection is kind of dated.

Looks like I am not gonna buy an innovaite when they have those types of problems

Anyone use the AFX widebands from NGK?

Don't get me wrong, I love the innovate products. My LM1 has been going strong for YEARS even with rough treatment, being dropped, banged, bumped, and just generally abused, lol. The LC1s that we have installed in cars (including my own) are problem free and do a wonderful job. They also have a serial out wire which is what is used by HPtuner for an input. It can also be used in place of the factory O2 sensor with one of the user configured outputs. For the money, a LC1 with a guage is the best bang for the buck for a permanent installation. The jury is out for me on the LM2...I might try to find an old reliable LM1 again, lol.

NGK AFX is the most accurate budget wideband available. Period.

Right, funny there are a bunch of other tests that floating around that show the exact opposite of that. Obviously you are a blind cheerleader for the Innovative stuff, because anyone who knew widebands, would know the cheaply engineered controllers from the correctly engineered controllers. Oh you're still reading your one magazine review, nevermind........

I'm with 01SSredA4. AFX NGK wideband user here also. Pretty simple to calibrate and fairly accurate and user friendly and I tuned my car after a dyno tuned tuner hack job.

The only problem I had with that test above is the fact that the AFX was tested using the Bosch sensor...it is my understanding that with the other sensor available for the AFX they are pretty darn accurate. My only complaint with the AFX is they are not portable like the LM1 and LM2. It makes it more difficult to go from car to car like I can with the LM1.

Innovate is pretty much the standard, but keep in mind many use the same sensor.
