megasquirt anyone?
I'm planning on using it, but do I need do get different coils? The truck motor was from an 03. I have the stock truck coils that are 4 wire at the cop, and 7 wire at at the harness plug.
I have an LS1 intake and DBC TB so that's sorted out.
I did a search and all that did was make me feel dumb, so I tried.

curious
I'm curious about it too. Building a turbo LS-1 for a jet boat. one guy on the boat forums really likes megasquirt. I'm trying to decide if I need it or not. looking for input from any knowledgable sources. I plan to run IC, water/meth inject, maybe some sort of enrichment fuel injectors just in front of the TB. They have a lot of useful info on their website. and links.

MS2extra can do it but MS3 makes it a lot easier. http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms3/ls1.html
I am by no means an expert but I am running my lq4 off it with pretty good success. I did it for the challenge but unless you want to learn and don't mind some problems along the way it really is easier to plug in a stock ecu.
