Hi guys I have a 2000 camaro SS and yesturday I took it to one of the local well known tuners and he tuned it for me, so today I was driving it and it perfectly shiftsinto 1,2 and but when I put it on OD or 3rd gear it just seems to throw the car in Neutral, do you guys thinks it has something to do with the tunning or its just my 3rd gear that went out car has 76,000 miles??? Any help would be aswome thanks guys...
I also talked to my tuner and he said over the phone he might just of left theshift point to close to mph..or something likethat!!!wellany help

If he raised your maximum line pressure % value from
stock, but did not touch the force motor table, you
may be losing all line pressure. But that ought to be no
different in 1st and 2nd (other than that maybe the
trans has less back-torque to hold with now-minimum
line).
It wants scanning pronto, and no more heavy pedal
until sorted.

Oh ok I see another thing that I believe affected the shifting is that in the tunning he put I had stock gears but in reality I changed them out to 3.42 would that make a difference???

That would mess with the rev limiter and maybe you
can't make the MPH to shift, at any RPM the motor can
make. But the PCM only knows MPH from the tailshaft
(VSS) and if you simply swapped gears it would still go
by the old speedo values.
I think this wants scanning and a good look at the tune,
more than speculation.
Why the car would have been turned back to you with
no shakedown run to find this kind of thing, I couldn't say.
