Default ported maf tuning

I have a ported maf. My ltrms are positive right now. +13. If I multiply the entire Maf table by 105% and drive it will that bring it down, or should I just dump the Maf and go for a stocker? Surely there's a way to make this thing work.

Not sure what my o2's are at WOT yet, cuz I'm running open headers and have no where to go WOT. Next week I'll have exhaust.

I had similar issues on my LTrims and Ported MAF. First I tried the resistor mod on the MAF and it helped to bring the LTrims down but I still was not able to get to 0 or - on the LTrims at cruise. I ended up replacing the MAF with a stocker and now my cruise Ltrims are at 0. Most of the opinions I have read here state that it is difficult at best to tune with a ported MAF.

You should scale it at 113 if you're positive 13 on ltrms. My GMAF was so far off I was at + 25 on ltrms. I had to scale 3 times until I got slightly negative then I took it for a long drive and logged. The first time I scaled at 125% they didn't move. I thought I was screwed. The second try showed some results, that's how off my MAF calibration was, it was unbelievable. You obviously have Edit or HP Tune so you are in better shape than most out there.

If your LTrims are at +13 that means you are running lean and the system is trying to supply fuel. You want the system to be near 0% or at least a little bit negative.

Have you tried scaling your IFR table? I think you may need to give that a shot. Scaling the IFR table down is basically telling the system to add more pulse to the injectors and supply more fuel. So that may be what you need to do or at least in addition to editing your maf table you could give it a try

I know that I am lean, but haven't had much luck trying to tune with this MAF. I think I'm going to go back to a stock maf and then tune IFR after that.

If you hacked the MAF then you would want to alter the
MAF table to compensate it. A 1.13 airflow value scaling
would be a good place to start, and then let the LTFTs
in various cells tell you if you need to touch different
airflow regions more "surgically". I would look at FTC
cell 15 as the closest representation of WOT fueling
and airflow. This is your high RPM, high MAP cell and
what you'd be in up to about 90% TPS.

At this point I'm just wondering if it's worth my time or I should just put the stocker back on and focus my energy elsewhere.

have you tried using the resistor mod on the MAF?
