Changing from 6.0 to 5.3, do I change it in HP?
The 6.0 ran great, Ive change the engine to a 5.3, do I go in to the settings and change the cyl air from OHV 6.0 to OHV 5.3? Will there be alot of difference in the way the car ran. All the parts from the old engine are in the 5.3 cam, push rods,...ect. The 6.0 came with 317s, the 5.3 came with 862s I ported the 862s to get better flow, added studs, and LS9 HG, but all the rest is the same both engines are 2000 year.

Gonna need a fresh tune. I installed a 5.3 with a 98 PCM and the setting stayed at 5.7L. The setting doesn't change the tune from what I've read, you will still need to work the stock tune over for the engine swap.

ok, thanks I ws hoping it was as easy as changing the engine type for cylinder air. It has a box with different size engines to chose from. Well here go nothing!

back years ago i know the displacement box made fuel changes based on displacement, this could have been taken away with the many many updates and newer versions now.
change it and see if the VE tables change.

They are not the same. Open the 6.0L file, open the 5.3L under compare, then view comparison log at the bottom of the list under compare. It will list all the diiferences. If you want to copy them over right click and copy over differences either one by one or by folder which ever you choose.

The stock tunes should definitely be different. However, all I was saying is by changing the drop down box for displacement should not effect that particular tune. Meaning changing the drop down box changes nothing else.
