Default Will I be ok with out a re-tune

I'm going to be adding ported 243s and a ported FAST 92 here real soon, will I be OK running the car with out a re-tune? Right now my car has full bolt ons and 230/227 cam. Also will my stock 28lbs injectors be enough?

maybe maybe not, I would at least get a base tune for the ported heads and the fast. I have ported heads and not fucked with the tune one bit and been fine. Not sure about adding the fast to the equation. your injectors should work fine but will be at about the limit of their duty cycle.

As long as you have properly running sensors in your vehicle, your car will eventually learn itself out enough for you to putt around. Do not get on the throttle at all and you will be fine.

That's a perfect example of why not go get on it, at full open throttle this will surely happen. If you drive very lightly you will be ok.

I went from a similar cam as yours (230/224) to a 230/238 and very mildly worked 799s (same as 243) and my injectors were hitting 110% by under 5k rpm.

Get injectors and a tune IMO

You can drive it to get it tuned... as long as you are easy on it...

No, your injectors won't be fine... Which ever injectors you go with, make sure they come with all of the data needed to tune them. I would also put a better fuel pump in it...

I just ordered a racetronix with hot wire kit actually. Would red top svo injectors be enough?

I went to 41# GM injectors. I'm in the high 60% duty cycle last I checked.

What are some good injectors to get? Also I forgot to mention my heads have 2.02 intake valves.

Yes, but I don't think you will find all the data out there to tune them correctly... Shop around and see who supplies the data - check out injector dynamics and fuel injector connection - keep in mind, good injectors are not dirt cheap.

I called FIC and I ended up getting the fic36s per their recommendation. They are great to deal with and sent me the tuning data also.
