Default AFTERMARKET ecu sub forum

guys why don't we have a sub topic of HOLLEY ecu, BS3, FAST etc? im surprised at the amount of people running these that yellow bullet has these but we don't. theres a lot of information that is out there to be had about easier ways to put the ECUs in these cars and tricks like how to run gauges and keep a stock look, I really would like to see something as I have a lot to add to a holley specific group.

Why not just start a topic with "Holley" "Fast" "BS3" and so on in the title. Yellowbullet has "Electrical" That's for everything electrical related not just ECU's and even then it hardly gets any posts (3 so far today). Also keep in mind that Yellowbullet is a drag racing specific website so most of their cars are going to be running an aftermarket ECU because most of the cars were built before they had them or they need them to do more than a stock ecm is capable of doing.

this is true, I just figured more people ran aftermarket ECUs on here than say, and if there were subforums we could do stickies. just an idea.

Default Engine Management System "forum"

Hi guys, yes an EMS forum IS different than a Powertrain Control Module "diagnostics & tuning" Forum !

The "aftermarket" term in the forum name is NOT proper use as MANY ECU manufacturers (small) are OEM.

I could state MANY examples if asked ?

Should Ignition be added to the name ?
Should Relay Control Module be added to the name ?
Should Data Storage/Display (RacePac, etc.) ?

(EMS, Ignition, Data S&D, and Relay Control Module ) ???

YES, Yellow Bullet has better "tech", LET US FIX THAT PROBLEM ?

ok that was confusing lol. How about "standalone computer" or "bs3, holley, accell, fast"

thanks, its just something ive wondered a while, when I had BS3 with the complete lack of support for the BS3 and LS1/transmission tuning I feel I could have utilized it better at first had I had a group of experienced people wandering a forum willing to help. most people with standalone computers don't patrol the PCM and diagnostics forum. all I want is to be able to lend a hand and my experience to others without starting 20+ threads in multiple sections.

now that I have done BS3 and im doing the Dominator as we speak I feel I have a lot to add and good answers to basic and advanced questions

I suspect most of the discussion is in the hybrids and conversion section or in the FI section as cars without factory computers or big turbo cars typically use the aftermarket stuff.
