Swapping PCM's?? i need help!! If I was swapping my Pcm into a friends car and hooked up a scan tool to it. would it bring up my vin or would it still bring up his vin?

Also it won't start due to BCM-PCM need to be relinked. if you have the ability to disable VATS then you'll need to do that before you swap it.
Never heard of that and I've personally used a second PCM with a different VIN back when LS1Edit wasn't available yet for the '02's (I was running a PCM with a '00 flash and a friend's VIN) . Never had any issues with mismatched VINs.
