Monitoring KR also with MAP on the same screen. KR randomly goes to 0.1 to 1.8 when the converter is unlocked at low speeds.... Plugs and wires are still the stockers and I have MSDs and 1 set of NGKs (lost the other set during my move). I'll see if that fixes it or else the tune will have to get looked at.

Looks like it's false knock, rpms were going up and the KR number was going down. Looks like something is banging somewhere.....

I have mine set to light up if the oil pressure drops below 8psi OR if the fuel pressure drops into the 40s. My base pressure is set at 63 (I eyeballed the mechanical gauge and am going to set it to 58 when I get a retune). GM says 7psi for oil is the low end and I just picked the 40s because it shouldn't be that low except when not running... if the lights go on in the gauge set to monitor those parameters I know I need to shut the engine off.

Be very cautious if you have the fuel or oil pressure sensors. If you don't unplug the sensor before unplugging the OBDII port connection, you will blow the sensor. If it starts reading some weird number, it is blown. The first time I blew mine, I forgot and just unplugged the OBDII connection. Two days ago, the gauge just stopped working. When I checked, the connection on the back had worked its way loose. This is blown sensor #2. I haven't been able to find a sensor anywhere (haven't really looked) other than aeroforce and they make you buy the whole kit for $75 dollars or whatever it is. At this point, I am going to not use it for fuel pressure and get another gauge (probably a prosport evo) to use for fuel pressure.

Only problem I'm having with the gauges is I can't read the screen of the gauge with my polarized sunglasses on. Annoying as hell

Car went into limp mode P0756 code came up on the gauge. At the traffic light, I cleared the code and got back 1st and 2nd gear..... Love this gauge more and more.

This was true at one time, the sensors needed to be disconnected from power when the gauge was unplugged, but we made a modification about 18 months ago (adding an in-line resistor to the sensor output) which prevents this failure. We also exchanged those sensors for about $40 if they were sent back.

I have the fuel pressure kit. How would I know if it had the new inline resistor?

I always love introducing people to these gauges... they whine about the price for MONTHS, then they install it and dont understand how they ever lived without one.

If you are boosted its a must. You will save yourself a ton of money on not damaging parts! Have the light come on at 1* of knock and get out of it. Also a good idea so you know you're probably out of meth.

I watch, TOP-BOTTOM
KR
Timing
IAT
Coolant

Dont forget you can also track misfires! it even tells you the cylinder its in! So you if ever get a burnt / bad coil pack or plug wire you know exactly where its at... especially great after a service.

I think the most important things to watch boosted or not:
KR, Coolant (99-02), timing, trans temp (if auto)

I say coolant because anyone with a 99+ fbody knows our dummy gauge doesnt tell you its overheating till you're already pulled off the road and the radiator is boiling over.

Customer service its also top notch. I dont say that often! Ive had nothing but the best service from these guys... ive had one since 08. They are excellent!!

We sell a TON of these gauges, they are very popular. Rightfully so...it's so versatile and install time is just however long it takes you to plug it into the DLC. I use them in my own vehicles as well...super handy.

I bought an A/C vent block off from 6litereater. He's a sponsor on this site.

Also since you have a firehawk, I believe that the gauge will fit directly into one of your A/C vents and you won't need a pod at all.

All other Aeroforce owners, I have yet to "permanently" install mine (when I remember I just plug it in and hold the damn thing lol) but I'm curious to know how accurate the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are. I know that that is a loaded question with tons of variables but has anybody went to the track with it set to measure and then check what it reads compared to the time slip? If not, can someone do that? I'm not in a position to get my car to the track but I'm interested in getting an idea of what it would be capable of.
