Default Curing the "reduced engine power" TAC issues.

Immediately after selling my 03 silverado to a family member, it starts going into reduced engine power mode with a TAC code. So far i've replaced about 6" of wire to the TB connector and soldered the wires into the terminals. That didnt help.

Ive also seen where people replace the TAC, TAC module, pedal sender, etc etc with no luck. I'm about to replace all the wires from the TB to the TAC module and see if that works.

Before they start throwing parts at it.... Does anyone have access to the service bulletin?

How bout you scan it so you're not guessing. Post up the codes it's setting, and maybe someone can help.

Generally ends up with the TB needing replaced on those trucks...

Because it happened to me a year ago, and i turned off the process enabler with EFI live, not knowing it was hardwired into the PCM, in hopes that it would stop. So now it does it without throwing a code. It's been so long i don't remember which code it was, but if i see it, I'll know.

I do remember it was not one of the P15xx module codes.

Try a different throttle body, Those things get weak after a while I have seen. The brushes on the inside get chewed up a bit so it looses its torque.
