Default Looking for a tuner that is not to "busy"

I need to find a mail order tuner that will listen to me and answer some questions. I ordered one from a guy on here (i will not trash talk about someone) and it just isn't right. I emailed him a couple times with a question and my response was "did i do something wrong?". I also emailed him with other questions and got NO responses. As a paying customer i figure i could get a little response. My combo is basically a stock 5.3 going into a 4x4 with a cam. I figure a good tuner could get this pretty close. Thanks for letting me rant

Why not bring it to get tuned. A swapped vehicle with aftermarket parts is not as straight forward as you would think.

I know of a few people that have done swaps and had everything "right" and swore it was the tune even though it was a stock tune on a stock engine.

I have had very good luck with Wait4Me Performance. Do a search and you should be able to find Jess pretty easy.

You really thought tunedbyfrost was the answer?

The tuner does not have to be said in the OP. It is obvious who the tuner was.

It is awesome he can go to mods/admins and they delete posts about how horrible his customer service is.... Then **** like this happens.
People waste money on his tuning and then get burned like this and we can't openly post about it. Horse **** if you ask me.

Sorry about your luck. Isn't Ed another good one that does mail in?

All?

I like Pat G, and he does some impressive stuff. However, I haven't seen him accomplish some of the things that many tuners have.

What where the questions you had, Maybe it would be faster and easier to just post them in the forum where 1000s of people can respond instead of one person....

Simple questions are usually answered pretty quickly by everyone on this board...

NO...he may be good when he is in front of you, but for the $300 I spent and the tune I sent him and tons of questions, I and others that have PM'd me were not happy. I just wanted something that would get me drivable enough to get to the dyno. After a TON of emails trying to get responses I felt like I was harrassing the guy. Emails were timely before the money was sent then excuse after excuse as to why he didn't work my tune. Then when I find after the insane amount of detail I gave him about my swap his tune has the wrong injector data in it...please. I learned my lesson about mail order tunes. Shame on me.

Get a buddy with a trailer and find a tuner near by. If you were close enough to me I would come and get you and take you to the nearest place.

theres a simple solution to this.... dont get a mail order tune they will never be 100% accurate, they should be used as a simple bandaid until you can get tuned properly.... find a reputable tuner that is hopefully in your area.

Man, I don't have a clue who you are, or what you have/had. What kind of vehicle? When was this?

OK, I don't do much tuning other than my own and
won't take money when I do, but if any of these guys
are busy then your Q&A equals them losing $100 an
hour or so, at "shop rates" I've seen. And the tuning
experiences I -have- had, show me that one answer
gets you two more questions; it never ends.

What you call poor customer (or "potential" customer)
service, looks to me more like disciplined behavior.
They only get paid for the job promised, and your phone
call is not it. And whoever they promised the next tune
done, on time, to is probably composing his own
"where's my GD tune, bitches?" thread meanwhile.

Maybe they should get a 1-900 number for that. But
odds are nobody would use it, because then it wouldn't
be a freebie.

Since I have no business to lose by saying so, I can say
it. The guys trying to make a living at it, have to be
diplomats without going broke meanwhile.
