P0305 = cylinder miss #5
P0401 = EGR low flow
P0442 = EVAP small leak

I'm sure he will be understanding cook him a nice dinner
and give him a massage.

You should probably just pack your things and leave now.

But be sure and make him a pie before you leave.

What is the story behind this? when did the codes start? Just today? What happenend or changed?

The 401 and 402 should be really easy fixes.

Without getting too crude the answer to keep you from not getting in trouble is actually in your original question.

Unhappy Ha good one!

COME ON you guys..

those replies were kinda funny.. but yeah, anyway..

the ses light has been on for a few months, husband said no big deal he knows what its on for.I just took his word for it. He does like to rag on it a bit and has gone from 5th to 4th a few times on accident, still makes me cringe though, anyway.. last night driving home I heard a very very faint clinq sound as I was coasting at about 65 mph. bout 5 to 10 min later ses light starts flashing engine gets sluggish, oil pressure goes to the middle line and below. I pulled in a parking lot checked the oil about 20 times it was at the "add" level, it was caramel colored. Also it had somewhat of a ticking sound. I put oil in it and it sounded a little better, I drove it across the parking lot the ses didn't flash and the engine felt a little better the ticking was kinda gone but I wasn't confident enough to drive it home. also when I checked the oil there was a tiny bubble. I've heard that bubbles in the oil is not good .So this morning I got the obd2 diagnostic thing, and that's how the codes came about.the ses light flashed only when I got over 30 mph also when I drove it home it backfired, and did the popping thing, it has a Borla exhaust? and has been hooked up to a Diablo tuner if that helps any. Please excuse my lack of car knowledge. I'm almost certain though this is a bad bad thing, and I know my Husband is gonna throw a rod when I have to tell him. (No pun intented) I'm just trying to gather all the knowledge I can before I give him the bad news. I appreciate the help.

Blinking check engine light is from a miss-fire (P0305) I would the simple things first like the plug wire didn't come off or break, check the plug, and then coil.

Pretend it didn't happen. Let him turn it on, and let it happen to him. Problem solved lol.

I can't believe no one asked what in the hell a woman was doing driving a car. If it was an emergency trip to the grocery store I understand.

Couldn't resist.

Check # 5 cylinder....anything that will make THAT cylinder not contribute....wire, coil, plug. If wire is not off or broken...easiest thing to do is switch the #5 coil with another and see if the misfire follows....if so walla the coil is bad. Worst case is a mechanical condition affecting that cylinder...low compression etc. Good luck!
