Using the GM flex fuel sensor on an Fbody
I have Z28 2000 LS1, 4L60E.
So, if I get it right I need :
- 2005 Express PCM - Serv. No. 12589462 - Hwd. No. 12589161 it's right? Or it's better to me to Run 2004 GTO P59 and OS?
- 05 Avalanche Flex Fuel OS, it's DBW but it could DBC (how?) or GTO 2004?
- I have ACDELCO 13577429 Flex Fuel Sensor and fitting for it
- Someone say we have to repin Spark Retard Signal of the 53 Red to 12 Green for the ASR control. http://chevythunder.com/2004_gto_pcm_pinouts.htm That's right?
- For the O2 Heater Ground, on 99-02 they are grounded on the body and P59 need grounded on the PCM, so I just need to disable DTC like P0137 to avoid SES light?
- For A/C Request, just switch to analog
- What should I do for the 4-6 extra Ground pins on the P59 PCM?

Might be this thread too. Either way both threads have tons of info.

My OS is from an 05 avalanche and I use dbc and didn't have to do anything.
That flex fuel sensor is fine. You will need the pigtail for it also. I just got mine off eBay. It will have a power and a ground and a flex fuel wire (which will go to the pcm blue connector pin 56)
You don't have to repin anything. You just switch the blue and red connectors on the engine harness that go into the pcm. The only thing that needs to be changed is you have to add the flex fuel wire to the pcm connector on the engine harness (blue 56). Now the red connector won't fit into the p59 pcm but you can either cut the clips off it and it will fit or order a green connector on eBay. I ordered the green connector.
For the O2's you may have to disable a code but no wiring will change. Everything works pretty easily.
I don't know what to do for AC. Delete it? Just joking. Someone else can answer that.
You don't need to worry about any wiring besides what I posted above.
I just got mine running good. Good luck.

So I don't need worry about the extra ground wires?(I don't talk about the o2 Sensor)
Your ASR work well too? For the A/C we need to switch to analog mod if I read well! Thanks for the green connector i didn't know it dondt fit the red one.

I swapped my PCM with P59 saturday. My ASR don't work, maybe because the Camaro use ASM Module and the cars with P59 use the PCM directly. So I need to rewire some wires. I have the "Service vehicle" light on, maybe 'cause the ASR no fonctionnal?
Any idea?

If I buy one of your P59s with everything flashed as you mentioned above, which is exactly what I need......will my gauge cluster work normally....?
I plan to re-pin my 1998 harness so it will accept the 99+ PCMs.......
Price for the PCM...flashed and ready to go...?
Thanks....
.
Thanks !
So I try to rewire the ASR like on 2004 Corvette and trucks P59 : Don’t work
Rewire that from PCM directly to ASM not trough EBCM : Don’t work
Rewire that from PCM to EBCM than to ASM : Don’t work
There are a setting for the torque management who can disable this issue?
Check if your "matrix" table have been filled correctly too. "Fbody" in the menu and :
