Default two wire knock sensors on 411 PCM

I know the typical advice given to folks running gen 4 blocks with 411 PCMs is to drill and tap the knock sensor holes to fit the LS1 sensor and run those.

What I've been wondering is if its possible to use the two wire sensor that is factory installed on S10s with the 411 PCM controlled 4.3?

The PCM obviously has the hardware to work with these, something that is questionable with the gen 4 sensors. If wired properly, e.g. signal and return going to the PCM on the appropriate pins and the software configured with the 4.3 settings it would seem to me that this would be the way to go.

You can run 2 wire knock sensors on a 411 pcm with changes in the pcm and re-pinning the harness for the new sensors.

Thanks, I've already PMd you about getting a base calibration done.

Is there any difference between the S10 sensors and the LS3s other than the connector used?

I don't know off the top of my head which sensors the s10 uses. I don't tune to many of them so I'm not that familiar with them.
