Mil spec connectors - have you used them?

Mil spec connectors - have you used them?
I've seen a few cars with them, mostly in the import crowd.
I was just going to see what people's experiences and opinions were on them.
I'd be using it on my Holley HP EFI system that I'm installing in my Z. I'm looking for an elegant solution to pass the harness through the firewall, and maintain easy installation and removal.
Any help on this would be great!
Thanks

Depends on how many pins you are going to be feeding, but a few of those can help you keep systems separate and weatherproof. We can get em to yah!

Being a comm guy in the military I use them all the time. They are really expensive but for a good reason. They rock. Plain and simple. Crimp don't solder. The 60+ pin Amphenol is the minimum for the harness in one connector with the LS PCM. Holley may be less. Check out Jordan Innovation on norotors.com. He does Mil-spec wiring all the time and can tell you the best pin counts n'such to use.
You can check out Mouser Electronics. I'm pretty sure they have the full Amphenol line.

Holley will be less, but I'm not sure on the exact # without looking.

I'm not a fan of crimps for anything exposed to moisture,
but the guys who do harnesses for a living always say
crimp and not to solder. I believe this is for the other
environmentals like vibration, where a solder-wicked
wire can fatigue just past the mechanical strain relief.
On the other hand one of my college jobs was as a
lab technician at a biomedical company, and one of
my chores was disassembling field returned heart-lung
perfusion pumps to find the failure. Which, consistently,
was a crimped spade connector-pair in the motor power
leads. Always corroded in the crimps. So I don't listen
to the pros, and solder anyway, with strain relief past
the solder-wicking-distance.
I also try to stay off of cardiac surgery tables....
