Default tuning out 30-50mph dead spot?

Have a 2000 z28 a4. Stock with just bullet muffler and Diablo tune. I know the tuner is junk but I'm just using it until I get headers/ etc.... is it possible to get a hard downshift in the 30-50 dead spot using the Diablo tuner? Checked tps and it opens to 99%.

Predator old version had no help. New version, I dunno.
This is all about the part throttle shift tables and can
be tweaked to suit, to much improvement. But with
that particular tool, maybe not.

There's not much you can do to eliminate a deadspot except for 2 things:

- get a stall so that it flashes higher in the RPMs than the OEM one at those speeds thus avoiding the dead spot

- get more torque at those RPMs so that it doesn't feel as "dead" when accelerating from those speeds

A higher stall converter will help you out with this problem. You can fill out the ask Chris form in my sig for a personalized converter recommendation for your application.

I have the old version slp predator. I do plan on getting a stall. But i was used to nearly zero dead spots in my tuned single cab Chevy. Never thought that a ls1 Camaro would have this problem. Thanks for the help.
