Default Tunning for Z06 MAF

Hey guys my car is dynotuned for the mods in sig and I got a z06 maf for free so I'm adding it in. My question is can I just copy paste the z06 maf tables into my current tune or will that completely throw off the dyno tune in the car because it was calibrated for the old 75mm stock one?

I have used the (or, a) Z06 MAF table as-is with good
results. But when I had fewer motor mods, the truck
table was giving me better fueling accuracy. I think you
want the Z06 table.

In this Excel 'sheet, the ones I have found useful are
highlighted in color.

thanks jimmy! I can easily copy those into my tune but my problem is since the car was already tuned for the cam and such wouldnt those values be way off? I thought maf tables are modified when tuning for a cam and other mods or do they stay the same and its other maf parameters that get cahnged

It will be a good starting point. But your tuner will want to do another run it three to get it dialed.

If below 450 WHP, it's said there are no gains from the bigger maf. Personally, I think it's a good swap.

Cam reversion at low RPM is about the only way the
MAF calibration should need messing. That, and a way
different intake tract that maybe biases airflow unevenly
and skews readings (more of a problem on the descreened
types and not-straight plumbing). I picked a cam with
low overlap to avoid low-end tuning effort, in large part.

But philosophies vary and some tuners like to mess
the MAF around. If your tuner does this and you have
an A4, you want to look real carefully at whether this
may be falsely asserting a low load reading, hence low
applied pressure in the trans and mmm, the smell of
toasted frictions.

My opinion is that above 2000RPM, whatever airflow
that turns out to be, the MAF is going to be pretty
accurate and stock calibration is realistic; deviations
probably have some other source that maybe some
other fellow did not want to chase, just get to a
"right answer" reading with minimum touching.

I'd start with just comparing (if you have a 75mm
stock setup, compare to the '02 Camaro or Holden
MAF tables - Holden did the cleanest job up top in
my opinion). If you see that someone has been
messing, and you want to stick with that scheme,
derive a "fudge factor" vector from the stock and
messed tables (=messed/stock) and then apply that
same multiplication to the 85mm table of your choice.

I think I'd stick with one of the factory calibrations
from a platform that is close to your hardware (esp.
intake tract geometry) and if mixture is off, chase the
cause methodically. You never know what somebody
else's assumptions and shortcuts were (although the
compare function will cough up the evidence).

Thanks Jimmy I scored a GM 85mm maf for 15 bucks at the bone yard with the wiring connector so I'll be installing that today. I understand what your saying about reversion my cam has 3 degrees overlap and there is a slight difference between stock maf tables and mine Ill post them up in a sec. I can get the stock 02-04 vette maf tables as well as use yours. I think either should work.

Here are the tables....
Also heres a link to the hptuners site I found. I was looking at using the c5 85mm descreened set which should be the same as 02-04 c5 and z06
