When you talked to their tech support and they say it wont work I am not going to try it and see if it works and possibly mess up a $2k computer that is not mine.
I have since met with Holley and have a direct number to someone there who knows the Holley system so I dont have to go through anything like this again.

well... for future reference.... dont be afraid to move wires around if needed
unfortunately, not all harnesses are perfect for every application (especially in the Ford side of things)

If this works you just saved me hours of work! I've doing the opposite, I've been running a 58x engine and going to a 24x for a bit. Looking at the Holley diagrams I see the 5v vs 12v difference and swapping the two wires but I'm surprised the 12v sensor works off 5v.
it doesnt...it only works on certain sensors
you need to get 12v to the 24x and 1x sensors, and 5v to the 58x and 4x sensors
the 12v sensors will not work on 5v, but some of the 5v sensors will tolerate 12v
