Default cutting VE and IFR table in half for better timing control over 1.2 G/cyl

well my car on 7 or 8 lbs boost will bottom out the timing map n my pcm its 1.20 g/cyl. i have herd and read a few thing about taking your VE table and redude it by 50% same with the IFR vs. kpa table.
then when the car would normaly see you in the 1.2 range it would say you are in the .6 g/cyl.
my car on 28 lbs would read over 2.5 for g/cyl that would now read as 1.25 g/cyl.

so i took the timing table and took the .60 line and pasted it to .30 and the .40 line to the .20 line and so on. and then over .60 i just set it to 12* and ill finish working that out later
any one else do this?

It is called scaling a tune. Greg Banish talks about doing it in his book. I have done it on my car which was turbocharged and using a 4" LS7 MAF. You need to talk ALL tables that refer to airflow and fuel and cut them by whatever percentage you choose. I went with 65% as my multiplier.
