Default Hard start when warm

For a little while now I've been tinkering trying to solve a small issue with my ls2 chevelle.

It fires right up and runs perfect most of the time, but occasionally once it's warm and been sitting it will either fire half heartedly and sputter out real quick or not want to fire off at all. Kinda acts like a flooded car would, have to crank it for about 10 seconds and then it will light off and run fine but idle a tad high for several seconds.

I've tuned VE, MAF, and the running airflow tables for park/n and in gear. Leaning towards thinking it might not have enough airflow in the warmer sections of the idle airflow tables but wasn't sure if there was some other place that would be best to look before I start adding airflow there.

Any thoughts are appreciated

Check whether your IAT is showing unreasonable temps
at the sensor, and whether this is making you either pull
timing or short-fuel it during cranking?

Will do, thanks for the ideas.

I don't recall having this problem prior to the swap from ls1 to ls2. At first I thought it might have been related to the cam sensor extension harness but everything seems fine there. Not much changed in the tune itself during the swap other than touch ups on VE, MAF, and redoing the idle airflow. Even kept the same timing table.

Mine does close to the same thing but I know it's my new Racetronix fuel pump not priming when hot SMH.

last I checked mine was priming and holding but I will check again

have you tried giving it throttle when that happens? if its not getting enough air from the iac tables during cranking opening the blade should make it fire.

Yeah, once it becomes clear it isn't going to fire off right away I have been cracking the throttle with my foot and a couple seconds later it does fire. So I guess it's hard to say if it's starting because I give it more air or just because it's finally done whatever it does need to do and my cracking the throttle is irrelevant to it actually starting.

Try taking out some cranking fuel. Start with 5 or 10% and see if its better.
