Default 82% TPS at WOT

Was looking at the live data while driving and saw TPS percent only goes to 82% at WOT. Idle percent is at 0%. Is this a problem or normal? Been having problems with the car not wanting to downshift to the correct lower gear since I bought the car and seems low on power, could this be it? 2000 z28 a4.

If it has traction control there is an adjuster in one of the cables to take the slack out. Cable slack will prevent 100% throttle. Assuming you've checked the floor mat. Stock tune requires 94% TPS to activate Full Throttle upshift and downshift tables.

Yeah it has traction control. I tried tightening the slack on it before and it seemed like I got it as tight as it went before it starts pulling on the TB, but I'll try again tomorrow when there's light out again. But yes I made sure mat wasn't in the way. Car has Frost tune on it from what the PO said but that explains why it upshifts lazy as well if im only I'm not meeting the correct TPS %.

UPDATE: messed with the adjusters again and ended up seeing the cable was too tight on the cable coming from car to the module. Loosened it on the adjuster and car went to 100%. Took it for a drive and WOW. This whole time I've been missing out.. Fixed my "trans" problem and feeling slow. The PO before me must of messed with it. Thanks for the reply!

I've seen vehicles show worse than this, from factory;
problem is not in the adjusters, but the pedal draw length
itself. Bending the arm to get more, is not difficult.

However there is a bind at the traction control "gizmo"
not far past what the stock TB needs in order to open
fully, which hit me on the 85mm TB upgrade. Had to
ditch the traction control cabling, to get past that.

Over the years I have had to bend a few pedal levers to get full throttle, even with no traction control. Thick floor mats slid up under the pedal as well.
